The Candy and Chocolate Co is a family owned business with three generations of our family and close family friends working together. Our family opened our first ice cream parlor and candy store in the 1920’s in Chehalis, Washington, over five generations ago. Since then our family has owned many well renowned and/or historic restaurants, ice cream, and candy stores. Erick's passion for candy truly began as a Child growing up in Washington state. with two working parents our vacations were never extravagant we had a yearly trip to seaside Oregon where our passion with taffy started. Erick loved to sample the Taffy that was often given out by a singing candyman on Main Street Erick would spend hours circling the Block taking free taffy samples from the seaside candy man while watching the Taffy puller at neighboring Phillips candy after reminiscing In 2015 Mama Cheryle ( now Grandma) had the idea to take some of the old recipes with vintage equipment in storage and create an old fashioned candy store. Her son Erick got behind the idea because of his passion for vintage equipment and history on obvious great memories created in seaside Oregon as a child.  This led to years of searching the country for the rarest equipment to ensure our family’s passion of making old world candies with simple ingredients. After eight long years of hard work and building deep friendships with some of the best candy makers in the world, we opened in 2023. we quickly built up a following as we sell our caramel apples in Costco and we sell our taffy and Caramels to many retailers and customers we hope to bring the joy we had as children to all the children and children at heart with our delicious candy
